Decisions we make determine the path we take in life.
I know some people into science fiction and enjoy the thought of alternative timestreams which shows how life might have turned out if certain decisions had been taken. What if Kennedy didn’t go to Dallas in November 1963? What if Hitler was never born? What if you had chosen to marry that person? What if you chose not to go to university?
Of course such speculation is pointless for enjoying the present. Thus what we have to consider is how do the decisions we make now help us pursue paths of righteousness for His Name’s Sake? It becomes even more crucial when we take into account the lives of those who will be affected by such decisions. What does it mean for church family? For those called to walk with us? For those who were friends but then become enemies?
I thank God for good people around me who give good guidance to determine the way I am to take. One thing I realise, though, is that it still boils down to the relationship I have with Jesus and what path He walks that He would have me walk. Difficult at times, but worthwhile.
For His Name’s Sake
Shalom
