So another month is upon us and this is a Bank Holiday Monday so technically I’ve been able to enjoy a day off work. Key words in that statement ‘technically’ and ‘enjoy’. For all that I’m enjoying life at present, despite some bad health of late, I remain in the land of the living. I’ve been off on holiday of late and I was hoping to do more writing than I have done in that time, but I’m not too perturbed. Writing will happen when it happens, and I like it happening just as much in the rhythm of working life as I would in a period of rest and recuperation.
April was an amazing month for one crucial reason. there was the largest number of views on the blog in a month, in a week and in a day. So I’m grateful for those who popped along to see what life with da man cd was all about. Grateful to God for the grace shown to allow people to pop along as well. As mentioned before the prolific nature of sustained writing hasn’t been up to scratch of late, but there’s still stuff on the site and I reckon with the material from February and March especially there’s stuff to be getting on with.
Continuing on from February having a look at Matthew, I intend to have a look at the gospel according to Mark through the month of May. It doesn’t work out as simply as Matthew did where there was a chapter a day, but I look forward to sharing whatever insights I get from this perspective on the life and ministry of Jesus. I’ll endeavour to do that on most days of the month.
This takes place in the context of me settling into a new place of work and the new challenges that will come with that as well as getting to know the new area as well which as it’s a lot nearer home will hopefully offer new opportunities for life development.
The Dryden family are well and having celebrated the birthday of the youngest in April, the middle child Abigail has her birthday at the end of this month as also does my dearly beloved nephew. So any donations you wish to make for the birthday gifts are more than happily accepted.
Here is hoping that the month will be one of joy and celebration in growing in knowing Jesus.
For His Name’s Sake
Shalom
