When I watched this little snippet it got me thinking again about the subject heading. I also think about a Keith Green song which had the lyrics ‘If you love the Lord’. For all the hype and tripe about Christianity there comes a time when people have to question what it means to be a Christian. Especially growing up in England it seems as though it doesn’t take much at all to be a Christian – belonging to a ‘Christian’ country, having parents who were Christians, being Christened and confirmed, regular church attendance, subscribing to a list of doctrinal statements. Yet if I read Jesus’ chat on the Mount right there will be people who will come with these deals and more and be informed that actually they are workers of iniquity. That doesn’t sound like much of a Christian to me.
So this video reminds me again that it is not me claiming to be a Christian that matters, it is living in the light of the key truths that render me completely surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
For His Name’s Sake
