Atheism and agnosticism share something in common – futility. The belief that there is no God and the belief of settled uncertainty on the matter are very popular and have their proponents among intellectuals. Government policies can appear to reinforce these perspectives and then there is the tirade against all God-stuff because it’s responsible for so much evil in the world. It’s all well and good holding those positions … but they are futile. Still … life will soon bear that out.
