The ability to give is not something to be underestimated. Some complain about having nothing to give, yet everyone has something to give. Maybe it’s time, attention, an ability to help someone in some way. It could be material or spiritual. The deal is to give it. The rewards for that giving can go beyond that initial gift. That can be a great thing, and as with the giving of such things as a bad attitude and misery, can also bring negative repercussions. The joy is to find what there is to give and give generously. We all have something to give. In our world of affluence it can become blaise to give money and it can “cost” more to give time, effort and thought. Even the poorest people can give love, time and encouragement. A bed ridden person can give love and prayers. There is so much we can give, if we choose.
