It is a source of encouragement knowing that in the trials of life, those who endure emerge like pure gold.
It is as if this word of wisdom reminds us that in the same way that gold and silver have their purifying process so does the hearts. It is just that they are made pure by God Himself. He alone is able to test the nature of our hearts for ourselves to see the dross and marvel at His work in purging us of it through the things He puts us through in life.
