MTP12 – I’ll Overlook That

Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult. (Proverbs 12:16)

One of the easiest ways to wind people up is to offend them.  Call them a name, insult their mother, anything to rile them.  It is petty, it is childish, it is immature and too often it works in distracting people from the course they are going on.  Wisdom teaches through experience that you get more done in life when you overlook an insult.  Getting tied up in it can prove to be a futile exercise.  Indeed the wise one who proceeds with grace in overlooking insults is the one who appears mature in the end.

For His Name’s Sake

Shalom
