For those who find me find life and receive favor from the LORD. (Proverbs 8:35)
If you read all of Proverbs 8 it could definitely come across as an advert for wisdom. Those looking to get rich could look at it as the promise of all promises. Those looking to stay healthy might also be enthused by it. This would however miss the point. The ultimate benefit of wisdom is life and by life it is intertwined, as is wisdom, in knowing God. If that is not the ultimate benefit we seek, we won’t enjoy the genuine riches of wisdom.
