And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6)
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2)
When you read a story, do you ever get the impression that you are in someone else’s world? That through the twists and turns there is a beginning and end?
Some people refuse to allow themselves to accept this thinking they are in charge and they write all of their own story. Yet there is liberty in realising that you are a part of a story – someone else’s story. Someone’s story where in successes and tragedies, there is actually a beautiful ending.
That is the joy of belonging to the story of faith – written and completed by Christ.
