Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)
What is there without light? Confusion by virtual blindness. We are left groping around in the darkness. Direction, purpose, development and movement has little to no meaning as we stumble and fall over every obstacle.
What does light bring to a situation? Clarity, insight, understanding and refreshing awareness of which step to take, which move to make and how we can experience all that is good to have.
Without Jesus we are plunged in darkness – groping, guessing, stumbling and falling. With Jesus, the Light of the World, comes clarity to stand, to walk, to live free from fear.
