So the honor is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe, “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,” and “A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense.” They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do. (1 Peter 2:7, 8 )
Some people just don’t get Jesus.
Some presentations of Jesus wish to make Him reasonable, when in reality considering all that He is, He is anything but reasonable.
In as much as it would be pleasant to hope that people will accept Jesus for who He is, the challenge remains, as we get to know Him can we acknowledge how much of a stumbling block He is to others?
Can we acknowledge how He is a stumbling block to us due to the things that we cling to that would be in disobedience to His Word?
