I love my daughters. One of the things I love doing is sharing with them a little story before they pray and go to sleep. I don’t always read from a book, sometimes I enjoy making up stories for them to get involved with and engage with. Deborah as the oldest is getting into them quicker and is able to recount them if they carry over from night to night. It’s good stuff and as well as it being funny (come on, I’m telling the story!) I look to ensure there’s something for the girls to take on board and think on into the wee night hours.
The whole question about who God is and what things are all about has lead me to transfer that into a story journey regarding Tim and his dad and how the father explains to Tim about God. One of my first ports of call was about creation and this recounting of the creation story fitted in perfectly. The girls were enthralled by it and it did the trick for me to. Enjoy.
