I’m not in a tricky position, but I am in an interesting scenario that I reckon one or two people might understand. I’m working for a training organisation that respects equal opportunities and celebrates diversity in no way looking to enforce one view over another (although even that is enforcing the false view of not enforcing one view or another.)
So, I’m working with these young people and it’s clear, as with the wider issue of the human condition, that there is some deeper work to be done to resolve some of the underlying issues. Yet these remain resolutely non-commital faith-wise. So what to do? Settle for person-centred counselling that is all the rage in counselling circles and endeavours to be about seeing things from that person’s perspective and building the bride that allows them to cross over into better self-realisation. Realising how capable they are and what quality human beings they are more than capable of not just getting a job, but also establish their own life path that leads to contentment and fulfilment.
That’s the answer, right? Or is it?
