Not going to be long with you at all just putting in a post thanking God for taking me through the first half of the year. It’s been a rollercoaster ride of a year –
January – Finishing work in Stoke and getting used to life without Stoke-on-Trent
February – Wilderness time out of work getting used to Little Hulton
March – Getting a new job and getting used to Wigan
April – Getting a new child and getting used to the new birth
May – Consolidating our position and getting used to new responsibilities (see a future blog)
June – enjoying the Summer and getting used to the neighbourhood
I was not guaranteed the breathe in my body to see through the first half of the year and for all the dark nights of the soul there have been some tremendous light moments of joy and laughter.
I’ve made some fantastic new friends and got back in touch with some precious old ones. I’ve enjoyed this new kind of living and most importantly the love for my beloved wife has gone from strength to strength which means our beloved new daughter Zoë finds herself born into a tremendously loving environment, arguably more than Deborah and Abigail experienced.
There is so much to give God thanks for in this first half of 2010 and yet already I know there is so much more awaiting us that our loving Father has prepared to bring us closer to Him and conform us to the image of His Son. I look forward to keeping you updated on that progress.
For His Name’s Sake
Shalom
