When I Survey The Wondrous Cross – My First Version

There are three versions of this song and although I don’t usually do the music thing at this time, I’m happy to make an exception for a song that means so much to me.  The lyrics provide the reason why I am profoundly moved by it.

In line with the focus of the next 24 hours or so and how any movement is determined I’ll be putting on the two other main versions that I’m aware of and enjoy.  This version is the one I recall singing in the church back in my childhood days and indeed whenever I think of it I think of this version.  More on why I love this song in the next blog entry.
