I may have mentioned previously that part of May day’s explosion of getting paid included the purchase of Marvin Winans’ album. I still recommend it. This song is one of those reasons why I recommend it. It’s a very mature song evidently from a man who has been through stuff and knows what he’s talking about and so encourages from experience.
I would have just left it at that, but then I came across this video – excuse the stuff at the front, it is as it suggests a trail version. It’s good to see how it can fit in a film as linked to another mature song that you’ll find on the album.
The main message that I get from it in terms of how I get over it is nothing other than relying on God – completely and relating the situation to how Jesus Christ helps us to get over it now. Other than that, we don’t get over it. Those in Christ are still getting over it, so it’s not an overnight thing, but it is an assurance that especially in the eyes of the Father, because of Jesus He sees us as children who have overcome those issues. That’s got to be good news.
