The old hymns are still highly treasured and in terms of active prayer life, it’s one thing to have this song in the hymn book dusted down and sang every once in a while, it is another thing for it bto be a desperate cry in the middle of hard times and having no one else to turn to. Crucial words and I’m glad that He is there to completely share the hardships and offer counsel, consolation and comfort.
