We Shall Behold Him – Sandy Patty

Music of encouragement to the saints and anticipation of the arrival of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ can be expressed in different ways.  Some people are used to hearing it in ways that might evoke great clamour and excitement.   Some might prefer the subtle and understated approach.  Either way, these songs and their lyrical content serve the purpose of centring the focus on something of far greater value than our current temporal preoccupations.

I’d heard a bit about Sandi Patty before and a lot of people rated her, but I had no recollection of checking her material out.  When I heard her rendition of this song of great promise I understood why she was rated so highly and how she uses what God has patently given her to give it back to Him.  It’s the kind of quality that sends your spirit soaring as it returns to its source in the knowledge that what is to come is a joy that fills our waiting earnestly.
