It’s the early 1990’s, possibly even the very late 1980’s, but if it is that late, they can’t get in and we’ll have to leave it at the early 1990’s. At the time I was being very conscious of the music played by my sister and my mother. I remember seeing the album cover of this tape and hearing this song and liking it a lot. I wasn’t savvy on the lyrics, probably couldn’t care less at the time anyway, I had far more interesting things to be concerned about like Liverpool Football Club. In any case, I was listening to the track and enjoying it immensely and that was for the musical development and how that singer sang so well.
All these years, I owe Tramaine Hawkins a huge thank you for her contribution to my musical development. It may have been a completely male domain when it came to music, were it not for a lot of her efforts which I never recognised then, by all these years later I am hugely appreciative for her and for them. Nowadays the lyrics play a massive part to why I love this song and am glad to be reunited with it for what must be well over 15 years!
I know for myself through the thick and thin that the Lord Jesus is indeed making ways for me that I don’t see.
For His Name’s Sake
Shalom
