There are certain phases in life that you look back on fondly for one reason or the other. One of those phases for me was back just on the cusp of finishing my A-levels and going onto university. Around that time I was thinking I was establishing my independence (ha, little did I know), and I was in the mood to explore my musical tastes further. I enjoyed the album that John P Kee had released also called Show Up, but there’s something about the process as well that is immensely encouraging about enjoying such a quality song.
Years have passed since it was released and since that golden period, but the song maintains it upbeat relevance to anyone who’s a bit concerned that they maybe left in the lurch just when they need God the most.
