You ever have a favourite tune? You know you’re going about your daily chores and then that song pops in the head and it doesn’t leave for the best part of an hour, then you get home and slap it on the sound system of choice and because you like it that much it’s on repeat for the best part of an hour. (Hold on am I sharing too much information?)
Well this is my tune from back in the day. What was I, 17? 15? Call it from 14 to 17/18. From that age JPK was my man and almost everything he did was gold in my eyes. Of all the gold he produced, this was the best one. The album version is outstanding, but it’s just as good to watch this video version.
All these years later and tunes have come and tunes have gone. I don’t really have it on as much as I did before, but the lyrical message is even more important to me than it was back in that day. There is truly nothing like a made up mind and once you’re resolved on the issue especially when it comes to walking in the way of the Lord then only good things emerge. This song has a great groove to embed it in the mind for those days when you just want to slap something on the sound system for the best part of an hour.
