It’s a Friday night and that usually means time to wind down and prepare to celebrate, embrace and enjoy another Sabbath.
As I do so, however I reflect on some interesting social encounters of late. As I reflect on them the label they applied to Jesus springs to mind about him being ‘a friend of [tax collectors and] sinners’.
I note who accused Him of it and what it was meant to represent. I think about it in the context of what Jesus was saying at the time and I wonder what was His approach to that and what would He want us as His followers to do today?
For His Name’s Sake
Shalom
