How Alvin Slaughter hasn’t been featured in this blog since it started almost five years ago is a mystery to me. I love this guy. Back in the day the big boss of the P&W scene was Ron Kenoly and Slaughter was like the poor man’s Kenoly, but I think he’s in a league of his own. He can do the P&W scene and the actual gospel deal that a lot of people dig and he does it brilliantly. Get his albums when you can get hold of it and check his material out, he’s not only gifted vocally but the passion in what he does influences others to go where he goes in praise and adoration of our Lord and Saviour.
