OK from the top, this is not what you’ve been waiting for. The popping has not taken place … yet.
Here’s how it all went down. Mrs Dryden, in the hospital scheduled to be delivering over the initial 24 hours since she was admitted to hospital. Well that didn’t work out despite some contractions on her part and so she remains closely monitored.
Having visited her for the majority of the day her spirits are not low, she is still battling away eager for the process to be somewhat speedily resolved. More importantly than that she has her blessed Crossword book and so any tedium that may have been experienced in the waiting will be relieved by wondering what a six letter word for discovery could be.
This will not continue, the launch of the new life now has a pre-set timetable so that within a space of time delivery will take place … by one means or the other. (Cue ominous music and the shadow of a surgeon with an electronic chainsaw over the tender stomach of my beloved …)
Keep praying for all involved and also keep guessing as to the expected gender of the new birth. For a while it was suggested that it would go one way, but there has been significant rumblings to indicate that another outcome maybe the case. So the wait continues and the mystery deepens … more updates will be posted as and when further developments take place and remember for the first photos of the new child stick to the blog for the exclusives! (Yeah this is my effort at tabloid journalism … just need some select sordid allegations and some paparazzi pictures and I’ll be set!)
For His Name’s Sake

I thought I should be bed by now, but I am still awaiting the birth. Well I will try and go to bed, hoping and praying that Autherine will find the six letter word for discovery (although “design” or “result” comes to mind, you will have to be more specific. What is the first letter?) and that she will have a comfortable night (‘s sleep, hmmm) waiting and labouring. OK Let me let go, let God have his way and let me go to sleep (no house for let here, although a womb may be for let by the end of this week).
