We can overcook it with the relationships, especially with that mysterious statement that Christianity isn’t a religion it’s a relationship. There is, however, much to be said about the importance about relating to people and relating to God. He is there to be related to, worship of Him is not like that of a false idol that will do nothing. Worshipping God is inextricably linked with knowing Him for who He really is and He invites us then empowers us to do so.
